THE PEOPLE BEHIND CATEGORY ONE

Two guys from Arkansas – a preacher and a commercial real estate developer – met at church a few years back. They formed a deep friendship and a couple of years later they formed a fresh, vibrant, smart company called Category One Entertainment Group. Category One develops, packages and produces feature films and documentaries.

The principals of C1E, Josh Miller and Tim Jackson, bring a wide range of skills, experience, interests and a solid network to this business. Here’s a little more info on these two men.

Tim Jackson is a multipreneur and problem solver. As a public speaker and private consultant he has helped hundreds of non-profit organizations and small businesses throughout the US since 1984. He is the founding pastor of Celebration Christian Fellowship, a non-traditional, inter-denominational church in Little Rock, AR. Tim has written, produced and also appeared in numerous projects for radio and television as well as promotional videos and music recordings. Articles he has written have appeared in local and national periodicals.

Tim’s work has allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United States and to Central America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In particular Tim has an ongoing relationship with religious, political and business leaders in Kenya, East Africa.

Tim makes his home in Little Rock with his wife of nineteen years, Tracy, and their son, Sam.

Josh Miller has managed to pack more into his twenties than many people do in their thirties and forties combined. He is the principal partner of Miller & Ives Investments, a thriving commercial real estate company based in his hometown of Bryant, AR. Miller owns properties throughout central Arkansas and in Alabama.  In 2004 he co-founded Category One Entertainment Group.

A natural athlete, Josh played baseball all the way through his school years but gave up the sport to briefly pursue an acting career in Hollywood. Shortly after a stint in Studio City, CA Josh was injured in a tragic car wreck that took away his ability to walk. Recovering from his injuries and adjusting to life in a wheelchair were challenges that Josh faced with courage and grace. His faith, boundless enthusiasm and strong relationships helped Josh rebuild his life, which he describes today as “deeply satisfying.”

Josh lives near his parents and brother in Bryant, AR.
